Job Summary
We are looking for a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing Contact Center network infrastructure. You will be part of the Information Technology team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
- Manage network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Ensure network availability and reliability.
- Monitor network performance and security.
- Troubleshoot network issues.
- Implement security measures and policies.
- Develop and maintain network documentation.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on networking technologies and trends.
Job Duties
- Assist the Business Development team with client discovery then design solutions, develop implementation plans, test plans, and project timelines for various network projects.
- Generate vendor quotes for network hardware, licensing, and support contracts.
- Implement, maintain, and manage an enterprise-wide network infrastructure hierarchy comprising various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
- Maintain knowledge of the network environment in conjunction with business applications and systems.
- Ensure the development and use of an effective preventive maintenance program suitable to meet the operation objective of “99.99% availability”.
- Develop and document system standards for computer/network devices and update documentation of the networking environment including inventory of equipment as well as documentation of vendor activities.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Proactively monitor LAN/WAN performance, resource utilization, and trending to ensure system availability and reliability maximizing the use of software reporting tools.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel and the telephony team for problem resolution providing Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
- CCNP or higher is a must (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued).
- Fortinet NSE 4 preferred with extensive experience in managing FortiNet FortiGate or similar appliances.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- University degree in Computer Engineering or a related subject.
- Great interpersonal skills, and experience in a client facing environment.
- Schedule flexibility (able to align with a central US schedule).
- Suitable WAH environment, but ability to attend site when required.
- Spoken and written English level of 90% minimum.
- Previous experience within the Contact Center/BPO industry.
