Job Summary

Support our recruiting team and help us place qualified candidates faster. Sourcing Specialist responsibilities include searching social networks and portfolio sites, sending recruiting emails and organizing an effective employee referral system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Find great candidates: Use websites, social media, and networking to find people who might be a good fit for our company.
  • Talk to potential candidates: Reach out to people, even if they aren’t actively looking for a job.
  • Keep track of good candidates: Build a list of qualified people for future jobs.
  • Work with hiring managers: Understand what they need in a new hire.
  • Review resumes and applications: Check if candidates have the right skills.
  • Do initial screening: Conduct phone calls or assessments to see if candidates are a good match.
  • Get referrals: Encourage employees to refer their friends for open roles.
  • Build relationships with candidates: Create a good experience for candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Use our system: Keep candidate information organized in our system.
  • Track progress: Monitor how effective our sourcing efforts are.
  • Do research: Stay updated on industry trends and what our competitors are doing.
  • Help with other tasks: Support the team with other recruiting activities as needed.

 

Job Duties:

  • Use social media networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram) to look for and connect with potential candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring manager to identify each position’s requirements
  • Send recruiting emails and follow up with candidates
  • Ask for referrals from internal and external networks for hard-to-fill roles
  • Contact past applicants for new job opportunities
  • Develop a network of potential candidates and industry professionals
  • Log candidate information in our Applicant Tracking System and other internal databases
  • Identify future hiring needs and proactively source potential hires
  • Measure and report on recruiting metrics, like source of hire and time-to-fill
  • Review online portfolios and resumes to pre-screen candidates
  • Other tasks: Encoding information in the database, 201 filing

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Sourcing Specialist
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Familiarity with social networks, professional sites and resume databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (particularly business email writing –knowledge)
  • Good time-management skills with the ability to handle various open positions simultaneously
